Few images of my final piece. I really like my final piece. I have created this final piece by getting it printed from professional printers at university.
Paper Quality:
Front and back cover 250gsm Matte
Pages 160gsm Matte
These are my final spreads for the editorial piece.
I have also created many ink spreads which use a mixture of different colours to visualise ‘multilingual’.
More ink spreads
Scans (images) of illustrations i created when listening to music from languages i speak.
Progress in work
Workinig in class was quite productive today as i was getting somewhere in creating illustrations. I was suggested an idea of listening to music of the languages i speak and creating illustrations using ink and dip pen. I found this really interesting.
One to one tutorial
I listened to the interview and noted more points that were helpful. I had a one to one with Sally who gave me idea of working with words originated from India. I found this interesting as i thought i could go back to the Arabic Calligraphy.
I researched words that are originated from India. i found this interesting and unique. The image above is a scanned image of words i have created using ink and a dip pen. The words are in Hindi and are words originated from India.
The words above are:
Bungalow
Pyjamas
Shampoo
Curry
Pashmina
Veranda
Swastika
Critique with Sally and Mireille
In this critique i told my tutors that i was struggling with visualising multilingual. They recommended me to go back and listen to Peter Bilak’s interview again on Typeradio.
